WHAT IS CANCER SCREENING?

Cancer screening allows people who have no symptoms to get checked for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer in order to find changes early—and treat them if necessary.

HOW DOES GETTING SCREENED HELP REDUCE MY RISK OF CANCER?

Early detection of breast, cervical and colorectal cancers increase the chances for successful treatment. And in the case of cervical and colorectal cancer, cancer can often be prevented altogether. This is because screening tests check for abnormal cells that may lead to cancer. Any abnormal cells can be watched closely and, if needed, treated before they turn into cancer.
